Designed Around the NIJ RF2 Standard
The NIJ 0101.07 RF2 standard provides a defined testing category for rifle threats beyond traditional Level III requirements.
For years, many armor manufacturers used terms like “Level III+” to describe enhanced rifle protection. RF2 introduces a standardized testing approach, giving users clearer information when selecting body armor.
AV2 was developed around this updated standard to provide reliable rifle-rated protection with improved material technology.
