Very nice plates

The compound curves on these plates make them comfortable to wear. The coating that is on these is also of great quality.

Most comfortable chest plates on the market

After receiving a referral from a friend and being able to put my hands on his plates, I was introduced to Caliber Armor and decided I would order my next set of plates from them. I appreciated that they are located and manufacture in Kentucky, USA. The proprietary Spaulding protection option they use on their plates is thick and after testing is much more viable than the thin truck bed liner style products that other companies use. It's the real deal. This coupled with their option for multi-curve single press process they use for form fitting their plates make them the most comfortable plates I've worn yet. Highly recommend these plates especially if you have to spend any length of time wearing a carrier.

Worth the investment

Arrived in good fashion and I immediately placed the plates in my carrier. Definitely a heavy set of plates for sure but if in good condition, one can easily adjust to the extra weight.
Hopefully I never have to be in a position to have them tested for ballistic safety but if I do, I trust they'll do a good job.

Excellent

All steel plates are heavy, but these plates are really beautifully made. The compound curve is dramatically more comfortable than plates. The shooters cut is really nice for movement and shouldering a long gun. And the anti-spall coating is ridiculously beautiful (I am assuming that it is also effective)
On top of all that, the price is better than competitive.

Back plate

Almost too perfect of a fit for my plate carrier. I purchase of the 10x12 as to match the front plate. It is a tight fit. This is not necessarily a problem, as it is an observation regarding the plate carrier.
